Losing multiple teeth can have a real knock on your confidence. It can feel like you’ve lost your natural smile and have lost more teeth than you actually have. Not only that but it can also have a real impact on your dental health in the short and long term. With multiple teeth dental implants, you can find a long term solution that can make a real difference to your appearance.
If you have single missing teeth, these can be easily restored with single dental implants treatment. Thankfully, having several missing teeth doesn’t mean you need to have single individual teeth implants to replace each one.
Multiple teeth dental implants can be used to make up several of the missing teeth and conceal each of the gaps. For example, a three-unit bridge to replace three teeth in a row will comprise of two implants and three crowns; or multiple implants can support an even greater number of false teeth. Usually four to eight implants are needed to replace a full arch (jaw) of teeth (10 or more crowns) using fixed bridgework.
Issues that arise from having multiple missing teeth
There can be many issues with your dental health that arise from having multiple missing teeth. Firstly, to compensate for the teeth missing in your mouth your other teeth will naturally begin to move in their place. In doing so, this causes changes to your natural bite and makes it more difficult to brush over time. This can lead to infection if you’re unable to brush properly.
When teeth are lost, the bone that surrounds it tends to deteriorate too. This impacts the density of your jawbone, making them weaker in the process.
How the treatment works
The needs of the treatment will be dependent on your personal situation; how many teeth you have missing, their locations and the volume of the jawbone where the tooth is missing. The main process works similar to single dental implants where the implant consists of an artificial tooth root that’s inserted into the jawbone.
Once the implant fuses around the surrounding bone near the root, we’ll fit either a crown (for a single tooth) or bridge (multiple teeth in a row) to the artificial root. We’d normally expect this stage of the procedure to be around 3-4 months after the root was originally fitted.

Prices for a multiple dental teeth implant can vary depending on your personal situation and circumstances. After your consultation, we’ll provide you with a payment plan which takes into consideration the work that needs to be completed and the overall cost for the treatment.
