He has taken this to a new level with his work in lecturing and mentoring dentists new to the field.

Using the latest technology Rahim is able to use digital work flow when treatment planning for his implant placement which makes it much more efficient when communicating with referring dentists. This also enhances the patient’s understanding and also allows for complete precision/accuracy of the treatment.

Rahim’s attitude to patient care is very simple, “I believe in treating my patients in the way I would wish to be treated myself. This might sound obvious, but when helping a patient making an important decision, it’s important to me personally that they understand every aspect of their proposed treatment. This way I can be sure they have complete confidence in their treatment decision and my skills as a dentist experienced in implants.

Nina Ainsworth

Dip.D.H. Hygienist

Hygienist

GDC: 4991

Nina qualified as a dental hygienist from Manchester University Dental Hospital in 1995 and has worked for the last 15 years in a wide range of dental practices including NHS, private and specialist fields.

Working alongside general practitioners, holistic dental practitioners, orthodontists, oral surgeons, endodontists, implantologists and primarily, periodontists, she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience establishing a reputation for excellence in dental disease prevention, but especially in the treatment and management of all types of periodontal disease and peri-implantitis.

Since qualification Nina has constantly updated her skills and likes to keep abreast with new advances and techniques as they become available. Amongst other things, she has had training and has gained experience in the use of Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy (a P.D.T.) with the Helbo laser, periodontal endoscopy, subgingival bacterial sampling and periodontal ozone therapy.

Nina is, however, acutely aware that her clinical skills alone, are not sufficient to resolve the patients periodontal problems, and that the patients abilities in thorough plaque removal at home are paramount to the success of her treatment. Over the years she has seen countless patients who feel as though they are fighting a losing battle with their periodontal health despite their continued efforts, and who are now beginning to lose hope. Her abilities in being able to devise an easy and yet effective home care routine tailored individually to each patient, enables them to go home with not only the necessary information and ‘tools’ for the job, but also a renewed optimism about their periodontal health and a fervent passion to get started in making a real difference themselves.

Both the combination of Nina’s clinical skills and her ability to enthuse and motivate patients results in an excellent improvement in her patients’ periodontal health.

Nina is an active member of both the B.S.D.H.T and the B.S.P.
