Dental Implant Treatment Cost in UK: What You’ll Pay for Single Implants, All-on-4 and Full-Mouth Treatment

The question everyone wants answered before they book a consultation is simple: what’s this going to cost me. And yet most guides dance around it with vague, national-average ranges that don’t reflect what a specialist implant clinic actually charges.

So let’s break it down properly, by treatment type and against our own published fees, because a single implant and a full-mouth All-on-4 are completely different conversations.

We’re Hale Dental and Implant Clinic and dental implant treatment is genuinely our specialism, led by Dr Richard Brookshaw, so this is a question we field constantly, from patients who’ve already had a couple of vague quotes elsewhere and want a clearer picture.

Single implants

A single dental implant, replacing one missing tooth, starts from £3,333 at Hale Dental. That figure covers the titanium implant itself, the abutment that connects it to the crown, and the crown on top. An implant consultation is £195, and a CBCT scan, where one is needed to plan the case properly, runs between £250 and £350. If you need a bone graft first because the area’s lost density over time, that’s an added cost on top of the implant fee.

The reason single implants sit at that level comes down to what’s involved. It’s a surgical procedure requiring precise planning, a healing period of a few months for the implant to fuse with the jawbone, and a custom-made crown at the end that matches your natural teeth.

All-on-4

This is where the cost jumps noticeably because you’re not replacing one tooth, you’re replacing an entire arch. Standard  All-on-4 dental implant treatment at Hale Dental, a full ceramic bridge per jaw, starts from £20,995. Where a patient’s bone loss means the implants need to anchor into the zygomatic bone (the cheekbone) rather than the jaw, the advanced All-on-4 with zygomatic implants starts from £25,995 per jaw. If you need both upper and lower arches done, you’re looking at close to double the single-arch figure, though we can often put together a combined quote once we know both arches’ requirements.

That figure covers four implants angled and positioned to support a full fixed bridge, the bridge itself, and the temporary teeth you’ll wear while the permanent set is being made. What moves the price within that range is largely whether bone grafting is needed, which material the final bridge is made from, and the complexity of your specific case.

Full-mouth treatment

If you need both arches fully restored, whether through All-on-4 on each side or a mix of implant approaches, full-mouth implant treatment is priced from the combined per-arch figures above once your case has been scanned and planned, typically upward of £40,000 for two standard All-on-4 arches. This is the most involved category, requiring more extensive planning, sometimes staged over several appointments and occasionally combined with other restorative work if there are additional issues to address alongside the missing teeth.

Why the range is so wide within each category

A few things consistently move the price. Bone grafting is the biggest one, since not everyone has enough natural bone density to support implants straightaway, and that’s assessed properly with a 3D scan before any figure is confirmed. The material of the final crown or bridge matters too, with premium ceramics costing more than basic materials but generally lasting longer. And the clinician’s experience genuinely factors in, particularly for complex cases like All-on-4, zygomatic implants or full-mouth work, where precise implant positioning affects how long the whole thing lasts.

Dental Implant Treatment

Are dental implants affected by cancer treatments?

This comes up more than people expect, and it’s an important one to flag honestly. Certain cancer treatments, particularly radiotherapy to the head or neck, and some medications used in cancer care such as bisphosphonates, can affect how well bone heals and how safely implants can be placed. It doesn’t automatically rule out implant treatment, but it does mean your case needs a more careful assessment, in coordination with your oncology team, before any decision is made.

How to find a dentist doing dental implant treatment properly

Not every dentist offering implants has the same level of experience, and for something this significant, that matters. Look for a dentist or clinic that specifically specialises in implant dentistry rather than offering it as one treatment among many, ideally one who uses 3D CBCT scanning for planning, since that gives a far more accurate picture of your bone than a standard X-ray. Dr Richard Brookshaw leads implant treatment at Hale Dental, carries out thousands of successful procedures a year, and also trains other clinicians in advanced implant techniques through CADE, our on-site Centre for Advanced Dental Education.

Are financing options available for dental implant treatment?

Yes, and for most patients this is what makes the difference between putting treatment off and actually going ahead. At Hale Dental we offer 0% interest finance over 12 months, or the option to spread the cost over up to 5 years at 12.9% APR. As an example, a single implant from £3,000 works out at £500 deposit plus £208.33 a month over 12 months interest-free.

Getting an accurate figure for your case

Every number above is a general guide because the only way to know what you’ll pay is a proper consultation with a 3D scan, which shows exactly what your jaw needs and rules out any guesswork around grafting or complexity. Book a consultation with us in Hale and we’ll walk you through a clear, honest quote based on your specific case, not a broad estimate that leaves you guessing.
